Hound is unlike the other job sites because they actively search out jobs available all over the country instead of waiting for people to post
If you’re one of the victims of the economy and have found yourself without a job, then you probably want nothing more than to get back in the saddle and start working as soon as possible.
But where are you going to look? The Internet is one of the best resources for finding employment if you know where to look.
Most people start off by pointing their browser to Monster, CareerBuilder or some other job board. While there’s nothing wrong with this, you should know that you’re not getting all the job listings that are actually available at those sites.
See, those job boards have several problems that make them a bad choice for job seekers. First, those sites charge employers a fee for posting a job, and in some cases that fee can be as much as $500.
Many companies prefer to save the money and post the job on their own website. And if a company isn’t paying to have their job listed, the job board certainly isn’t going to direct you to the company website. So you’re only getting the jobs that companies are paying to advertise even though there might be hundreds more jobs available.
The second issue with those job boards is that they’re lazy. What we mean by this is that they wait for companies to come to them and post their jobs. They don’t actually go out and search every available resource, like company websites, to see which jobs are available. Again, when you log on to those sites, you’re only getting a little information instead of the whole picture.
So, where can you go to find all of the jobs that are available in your market? Hound.com.
Hound is unlike the other job sites because they actively search out jobs available all over the country instead of waiting for people to post. Also, Hound never charges a fee to employers for posting. These two aspects combined means that there are more job postings on Hound than on the big “free” sites.
Lastly, while Hound does charge a small membership fee, it actually benefits you because, since most people won’t pay it, there’s less competition for the jobs listed on Hound’s site.
If you’re serious about getting a job, then you owe it to yourself to give Hound a try. For more information or to sign up, visit them online at www.hound.com.
